Buildings (shelter) can range from a tiny hole in the ground to a giant castle. Shelter is needed in Minecraft to shield yourself from monsters that spawn in the night and the natural elements like snow and thunderstorms.
Building is also an essential part of Minecraft. Building a house is needed to survive each night to stay away from monsters and also just to have a nice place to live. This picture shows a more advanced house you can make in the game but there are a lot bigger things you can make.
As you can tell this is something much bigger that you can make in Minecraft. This is a small sized city build that somebody has constructed and I would call this an expert build. Somebody must have used the TooManyItems modification to do this or else it would have taken months to build on your own.
This house is something more basic in Minecraft and simple to build. This house was clearly built by somebody who didn't want or like to build giant projects and just wanted to survive in Minecraft. This house without the TooManyItems modification would have taken an hour to build because of all the resources you would need to gather and building time.
